Mumbai: In India there 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and 07 Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs). All these institutes are National Institutes of Importance under Ministry of HRD. The remuneration and pay package of faculty positions in these institutes is lucrative and attracts talents to pursue career here.
Currently, there are many such institutes are on recruitment drive to fill up vacant faculty posts. There are seven NITs, four IITs and two IISERs have released notification to recruit teaching staff. The four such IITs are as followed: IIT Ropar, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Indore and IIT Bhilai.
NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Karnataka both have released official notification recently to recruit teaching staff for its various departments. The seven NITs where recruitment window is open are as followed: NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Karnataka NIT Raipur, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, and NIT Delhi. Out of these NIT Silchar is hiring 137 faculty posts while NIT Jamshedpur is recruiting 123 faculty members. Further, NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Karnataka is recruiting 81 and 92 faculty members, respectively.
