Mahendragarh, Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), a leading central university is India, has extended the last date for submission of applications for recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts. The last date for filling up of online applications is 18 August 2017 and submission of hardcopies of submitted applications along with enclosures is 28 August 2017.
CUH is recruiting faculty positions for its various departments. There are more than 170 posts are vacant under its 11 schools/departments.
Key Dates: In the previous notification, the last date for filling the online applications was 04 August 2017 and submission of hardcopies of submitted applications along with enclosures was 14 August 2017. Now these closing dates were extended. After corrigendum notification, the last date for filling up of online applications is 18 August 2017 and submission of hardcopies of submitted applications along with enclosures is 28 August 2017.
The application fee is Rs1,000/- for UR/OBC category. There will be no fee charged from applicants from SC, ST, PwD and Women applicants.
More than 170 faculty positions are available in 37 subjects/disciplines. The vacant posts are exit in the following departments/schools of the university: 1) School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences ; 2) School of Chemical Sciences; 3) School of Computer Science and Informatics; 4) School of Earth, Environment and Space Studies; 5) School of Education; 6) School of Engineering & Technology; 7) School of Inter-Disciplinary and Applied Life Sciences; 8) School of Journalism and Mass Communication; 9) School of Language, Linguistics, Culture and Heritage; 10) School of Law, Governance, Public Policy and Management; and 11) School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Eligibility Conditions: Central University of Haryana has informed via the recruitment notification that the appointment of teaching staff will be as per the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2010 as amended from time to time for which UGC website may be referred.
NET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in the University. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a PhD Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in the University.
The Central University of Haryana (CUH) informed that the number of candidates to be called for interview/presentation for the faculty position in the University shall be determined after screening of applications in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Executive Council in this regard.
