Tirupati: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati, an Institute of national importance, has invited applications for regular faculty positions. These positions are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor Grade – I (Basic Pay: Rs.101500/- (Academic Pay Level 12 and Cell 1 of the Pay matrix of 7th Pay Commission); Associate Professor – Basic Pay: Rs.139600/- (Academic Pay Level 13A2 and Cell 1 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission).
These faculty positions are available at the following departments:

Chemical Engineering (All Areas)
Civil Engineering (All Areas)
Computer Science & Engg (All Areas)
Electrical Engineering (All Areas)
Humanities & Social Sciences: (Industrial/Organisational Psychology, Philosophy, Financial Management), Mathematics
Mechanical Engineering All areas (including Industrial Engineering)
Physics (Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, Theoretical Atomic & Molecular Physics, Quantum Optics)
Qualification: PhD, with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with consistently very good academic record throughout.
Associate Professor: At least 6 years industrial / research / teaching experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer in the Grade Pay of Rs.8000/- (PR) and above. It is desirable that the candidate has guided atleast one PhD, and demonstrated ability to carry out quality research and teaching.
Assistant Professor: At least 3 years industrial / research / teaching experience excluding, however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. Candidate should have good publication and teaching potential.
Age: Candidates for Assistant Professor should be preferably below 38 years of age and for Associate Professors should be preferably below 45 years. The age will be reckoned as on the closing date of the online application.
Candidates not eligible for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor Grade-I such as those with lesser experience may be appointed as Assistant Professor Grade-II (Contractual basis) if selected. The candidates should have completed PhD. thesis defence/Viva voce and obtained provisional certificate before the application deadline date.
