Kolkata, 16 February 2021: Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has announced Recruitment of Assistant Professors. The total number of assistant professors are 22. Duties include undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, independent research, consultancy/sponsored research, research supervision, and participation in institutional activities.
Vacancies: For 2021, a minimum of 22 vacancies is available.

Eligibility Conditions:
- PhD in the appropriate branch; a first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout
- Should have at least 3 years of post-PhD research/teaching/industrial experience.
At least 8 positions will be for applicants with background in Statistics (that is, having a PhD in Statistics and/or PhD thesis topic is on Statistics) and related areas (including Probability Theory).
* Exceptional candidates with less than the requisite post-PhD experience may also be considered for suitable faculty positions at an appropriate pay level.
