Vadodara: National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), India’s first and only transportation university located in Vadodara, Gujarat, has released Employment Notification for hiring faculty posts. The recruitment of faculty posts are going on the following departments: Engineering & Applied Science; Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences; Transportation Planning & Design; Management & Leadership; and Transport Policy and Law.
The faculty posts are available at the following levels: Professor or Associate Professor or Assistant Professor.

Eligibility and Qualification:
Assistant Professor** Level 12 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix
A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ allied/ relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Additionally, the candidate must have cleared the national eligibility test conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/ SET or have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC regulations/ PhD, from a foreign university or institution ranking among top 500 in the old university ranking.
A minimum of three years teaching/research/professional experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing PhD
Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences.
The candidate should preferably be below 35 years of age
Eligible candidates with less than the requisite experience may be taken as Assistant Professor (Contractual basis) in the pay band of Rs.15600 – 39100PB3 with appropriate higher starting pay based on post-doctoral experience.
Assistant Professor on contractual basis:
For fresh hires, minimum pay to be fixed at Rs.79,800/- in Level 12 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Gross Pay including DA but excluding Transport Allowance & HRA will be Rs. 86,982/- approx.)
Candidates not eligible for Assistant Professor may be appointed as Assistant Professor (Contractual Basis). At the entry level they may be placed in Pay Band – 3 of Rs. 15,600 – – 39,100 with AGP of Rs. 6,000/ and shall move after 1 year to AGP of Rs.7,000/ and after 3 years to AGP of Rs. 8000/ with a minimum basic pay of Rs. 30000/ (Gross Pay excluding HRA Rs. 92,700/p.m). On completion of 3 years’ service as Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8,000/, shall move to Pay Band – 4 (Rs.37,400 – 67,000) with an AGP of Rs.9,000/- (Gross Pay excluding HRA Rs. 1,11,600/p.m.). Aforementioned scales are as per 6th CPC.
