South Sikkim, 03 November 2021: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Sikkim, an Institute of National Importance, has announced recruitment of Faculty Posts. These posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professors and Associate Professors.
Pay Scales:
Assistant Professors: Group A, Level-10 (Entry Pay ₹70900/-); Group A, Level-11 (Entry Pay ₹73100/-); Group A, Level-12 (Entry pay ₹101500/-)
Associate Professor: Group-A, Level: 13A2
Total Number of Vacant Posts: The total number of vacant posts are 19. Assistant Professors -12 and Associate Professors -07.

Application Fees: Application fees of INR 1,000.00 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “DIRECTOR, NIT SIKKIM” payable at Ravangla/Gangtok must be enclosed with the application. SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Recruitment Process & Basic Eligibility Conditions: This is Under Four Tier Flexible Faculty Cadre Structure.
The selection process will consist of scrutiny of applications for eligibility of applicants as per Gazette notification 24/07/2017 schedule E, Statute 23(5)(A), shortlisting of eligible applicants based on their credit point score and research/ academic performance, followed by presentation/interview.
