Warangal: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, the first in the chain of 32 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country, has extended the deadline for submission of Applications (both online and hard copies). Now the deadline for online application submission is 04 December 2017. The deadline for Hard copies submission is 08 December 2017.
The total number of vacant faculty positions in 205 for its 14 departments. The reservations shall be implemented as per the Government of India norms (as applicable for NITs).
Eligibility Conditions: The candidates shall have PhD in the relevant discipline and shall have first class in the preceding degrees. The eligibility & experience and recruitment criteria are based on the Recruitment Rules made by Ministry HRD. Detailed education qualification, experience and other criteria for selection shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the Statutes of NIT Warangal (Ref. Gazette of India No.651 dated July 24, 2017,) and Recommendations of the Anomaly Committee on new Recruitment rules for Faculty in NITs and IIEST (Ref. F. No. 33-9/2011/TS. III dated: 6th October, 2017 and Ref. F. No. 33-9/2011/TS. III dated: 17th November, 2017.
The recruitment notification clarified that candidates who have applied for earlier notification Advt. No. NITW/Faculty / Advt-002/003/004 dated 21-09-2017, need not apply.
The faculty positions are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.
