Calicut, 16 November 2023: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, an Institute of National Importance, has announced Recruitment of Assistant Professors.
Total Number of Vacant Posts: The total number of vacant posts are 88.
Pay Scale: Assistant Professor Grade-II (On Contract basis)- Group A, Level-10 in 7th CPC .
Essential Qualification: PhD with consistently good academic record. One of the qualifying degrees of the candidate in UG/PG/PhD should be from any one of the centrally funded institutions in India. However, candidates with an exceptionally brilliant academic/research records with an ongoing or approved externally funded research projects are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates with PhD thesis submitted, and are likely to receive the degree by December 2023 are also encouraged to apply. However, the proof of award of PhD must be produced on or before 31st December 2023.
Prescribed Minimum Qualification(s) and Experience for Contract/Regular Faculty Positions as per Gazette Notification NIT (Amendment) Act 2017 for the faculty positions prescribed by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi vide their letter No.F.No.35-5/2017- TS.III dated 24th July 2017.
