New Delhi, 06 August 2020: In India there are 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). These are institutes provide top class engineering and technology education and academic research services.  Hence, there institutes are for dream destination for pursuing career in teaching and research activities.

Roorkee:  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, an Institute of National Importance, has released Faculty Recruitment Notification today.  The institute invites applications from Indian Nationals (foreign nationals can be appointed on renewable contract of five years) for faculty positions.

Faculty posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor (Grade I & II), Associate Professor and Professor. These faculty posts are available in 25 departments/centres.

Key Dates: Last date for applying for Professor and Associate Professor positions is midnight of 26 August  2020. The recruitment notification mentioned that there is no last date for applying for Assistant Professor positions. Thus, applications for Assistant Professor positions are welcome throughout the year.

Minimum Qualification And Experience For Position of Assistant Professor (Grade I) :

PhD and First class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch/discipline with a good academic record throughout. A minimum of three years teaching/ research / professional experience, excluding the experience gained before and while pursuing PhD Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences.

Candidates with PhD but with less than 3 years experience can be considered for Assistant Professor (Grade II).

IIT Kanpur recruiting Faculty Posts including Assistant Professors ! Know Eligibility

Kanpur: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, an Institute of National Importance, has invites applications from Indian nationals including Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Foreign Nationals for faculty posts. These posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor (Contract), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

Eligibility Conditions:

Minimum Qualification (for all faculty positions): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record in all preceding degrees. In addition, for:

Professor: 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.

Associate Professor: 06 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Assistant Professor: For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on contract basis for the first three years, and will be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of teaching/research/industrial experience, regular appointment can be made.
