Jalandhar, 06 January 2021: Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, an Institute of National Importance, has released Recruitment Notification for appointing 29 Assistant Professors. These faculty posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor (Grade-II) (on contract) Pay Level 10 of Pay Matrix (as per 7th CPC); Assistant Professor (Grade-II) (on contract) Pay Level 11 of Pay Matrix (as per 7th CPC); and Assistant Professor (Grade-I) Pay Level 12 of Pay Matrix (as per 7th CPC).
Total Vacant Posts: The total number of vacant Assistant Professors are 29.
Key Dates: The closing date for submission of online application is 31 January 2021. The hard copy of the submitted application along with all relevant supporting self-attested documents must reach the office of the Registrar, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, PO-Rec Campus, Jalandhar, Punjab-144011 By 10.02.2021 (Till 5.00 Pm).
Detailed education qualification, experience and other criteria for selection to faculty positions shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the First Statutes of the NIT(Amendment Statutes, 2017) (Ref. Gazette of India dated July, 24, 2017) and subsequent clarifications received from Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.

Essential Qualifications:
(i) For All Engineering Departments:
4 – year BSc (Engineering) / BE / BTech in relevant branch of Engineering with PhD in appropriate area (as approved by concerned Board of Studies).
OR
Integrated ME/M Tech with PhD in appropriate branch
(ii) For Department of Mathematics:
PhD with BSc (3 yrs/4 yrs) and MSc (in appropriate branch)
OR
Integrated MSc with PhD in appropriate branch.
(iii) For Department of Humanities & Management:
(a) HUMANITIES- PhD with BA/BSc/BBA/BCom and MA/MBA or equivalent PGDM (02 yrs)
(b) MANAGEMENT- PhD with BA/BSc/BBA/BCom and MBA or equivalent PGDM (02 yrs)
