Jamshedpur, 19 August 2021: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, an Institute of National Importance, has announced recruitment of faculty posts. These posts are available at the following levels:
- Assistant Professor Grade-II (level -11) in 7th CPC or PB-3, AGP Rs. 7000/- (On Contract)
- Assistant Professor Grade-I (Level-12) in 7th CPC or PB-3 with AGP Rs. 8000/-
Total Number of Vacant Posts: The total number of vacant posts are 65: Assistant Professor Grade-II (level -11) – 18 posts; Assistant Professor (Grade-I) AGP Rs. 8000/- Pay Level-12 -47 posts.

Those applicants who have applied earlier against advertisement no. NITJSR/REG/ADVT/CD/2019-20/365 Dated 04.06.2019 may update their application form online and resend hard copy of application form along with required documents. They need not pay the application fee again. The applicants need to apply online and submit the hardcopy of the application form along with self-certified testimonials through speed/registered post within specified date.
The selection process will consist of scrutiny of applications for eligibility of applicants as per Gazetted notification 24/07/2017 schedule E, Statute 23(5)(A), shortlisting of eligible applicants based on their credit point score and research/ academic performance, followed by presentation and interview.
