Mumbai: Railtel Corporation Of India Ltd, Mini Ratna (Category-I) PSU, is hiring technical posts (on contract basis) for implementation of USOF/ National Optic Fiber Network (NOFN) projects. These positions are available in two regions: North East Region (Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland) and Gujarat region.
For Gujarat state, there 45 vacant posts: 38 Assistant Engineers; and 7 Sr. Manager . For North East Region, there 86 vacant posts: 48 Assistant Engineers; 30 Sr. Manager ; 8 Asst. General Manager.
Key Dates: The online application window has opened from 06 September 2017. The online application window will close on 26 September 2017 (12 Noon).
Tenure of Contract: The period of contract shall be for two years, which may further be extended based on mutual consent and requirement.
Scheme of Selection: The selection will be made through written test and /or interview of shortlisted applicants at a place to be decided by RailTel.
Eligibility for Assistant Engineers:
Education for Assistant Engineers:
Diploma (3 yrs. Course) with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, in any one of the following branches:
– Electronics & Communication Engg. or
– Telecommunications Engg. or
– Electronics Engg. or
– Electrical Engg. or
– Electronics & Electrical Engg. or
– Computer Science or
– Information Technology or
– any other combination of branches where Electronics is one of the branches like Electronics & Instrumentation
OR
ii) BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engineering) or equivalent engineering Degree with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, in any one of the following branches:
– Electronics & Communication Engg. or
– Telecommunications Engg. or
– Electronics Engg. or
– Electrical Engg. or
– Electronics & Electrical Engg. or
– Computer Science or
– Information Technology or
– any other combination of branches where Electronics is one of the branches like Electronics & Instrumentation
OR
iii) Master in Computer Applications (MCA)- with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Experience for Assistant Engineers:
(i) For Diploma (3 yrs. Course) candidates: 3 years (min.) working experience in the field of execution of Optical Fiber Cable or other telecom infrastructure Projects and / or Operation & Maintenance of Optic Fiber Cable/ equipment / network or other telecom infrastructure.
(ii) For MCA/BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) or equivalent candidates: Minimum 1 year working experience in the field of execution of Optical Fibre Cable or other telecom infrastructure projects and /or operation and maintenance of Optical Fibre Cable / equipment/network or other telecom infrastructure.
