Eligibility Conditions in Brief for Assistant Professors: UGC Regulations 2018 amended from time to time and as prevalent on the last date for submission of application shall be applicable for determining the eligibility, qualification, experience and pay scale for all positions.
The Minimum Qualification for appointment as Assistant Professor is Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in concerned / relevant / allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an foreign University.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption for NET & having acquired PhD shall be granted in accordance with UGC Regulations).
A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor’s as well as at the Master‘s level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Socially and Economically Backward Class (SEBC)(Non-creamy Layer)/Differently abled.
Application Fees: The filled-in application form signed by the candidates must be submitted along with a non-refundable fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs.1000 for ST, SC and Women; US$ 100 for applicants submitting application from outside the country) online. No fee is required for PWD Candidates.
