Panchkula: Haryana Power Utilities (HPUs) i.e. Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL), Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL), Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL) & Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVNL) are on a recruitment drive. These State PSUs are recruiting Assistant Engineer/Electrical cadre & Assistant Engineer/Civil cadre based only on the merit of GATE-2017 score conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in the month of February 2017.
The total number of vacancies is 165: for Assistant Engineer (Electrical cadre) 131 posts; Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under Electrical Cadre 09; Assistant Engineer (Information Technology) under Electrical Cadre 11; Assistant Engineer (Electronics) under Electrical Cadre 4; Assistant Engineer (Civil) 10 posts.
As per the recruitment notification, the candidates who have acquired the essential qualification as per the recruitment notification and must have qualified the GATE-2017 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering- 2017) conducted by lIT, Roorkee in Feb 2017 in corresponding paper i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Science & Information Technology (CS), Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC) and Civil Engineering (CE) shall only be eligible to be considered for selection.
As per Corrigendum Notification Dt 11 August 2017, the closing date for application is 07 September 2017 (Upto 05:00 PM). The downloading of the application form from the website of HPUs i.e. www.hvpn.org.in , www.hpgcl.org.in, www.uhbvn.org.in & www.dhbvn.orq.in has commenced from 29 July 2017.
The age limit for the post of Assistant Engineer is 20 to 42 years. Eligibility of age limits is as on last date of submission/ receipt of application form i.e. 07 September 2017, as per Corrigendum Notification Dt 11 August 2017. The relaxation in age limit is admissible to candidates of Haryana Domicile only.
The recruitment notification mentioned that Reservation / Relaxation / Concession, wherever applicable, are applicable to Haryana domicile candidates only, subject to reservation policy.

The selection of the candidates in each discipline/ category would be done by the HPUs from the eligible candidates , purely on the basis of score of the GATE-2017 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering-2017) in the respective discipline as per requirement of HPUs. Appointments will be made purely on the basis of merit of the GATE-2017. GATE Score of 2016 or prior will not be valid.
