New Delhi: Border Security Force (BSF) invited applications from MALE Indian citizens for filling up 561 Vacancies for the post of Constable (Tradesmen) in Border Security Force for the year 2016-17.

Closing Date: 20thJune 2016 (Monday)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University or Board with

  • Two years work experience in respective trades

OR

  • One Year certificate from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade

OR

  • Two years diploma in the similar trade from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute

Age: Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st August 2016. Relaxation of upper age limit is available to SC/ST/OBC as per instructions issued by Central Government from time to time.

Selection Method:

Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates whose applications are found in order will be called for PST/PET.

Trade Test: Candidates who qualify in PST and PET will have to appear the respective Trade Test.  The trade test will be qualifying in nature and will not carry any marks.

Written Test: The candidates who qualify PST & PET and Trade Test will be required to appear the written test

Medical Examination: The medical examination will be carried out as per specified guidelines.

Final List: Final Merit list in each category namely, General, SC, ST, OBC, and Ex-Service Man will be prepared in respect of each State/UT on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Test.
