Bangalore, 09 November 2021: Government of Karnataka has announced recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government First Degree Colleges in the state. Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is the Selection Authority and to conduction competitive examination for the recruitment process.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the extension of the closing date for submission of online application to 20 November 2021. Further, the results of K-SET examination have been declared.  K-SET qualified candidates and other eligible candidates who have not applied can submit online applications for the post of Assistant Professors as per rules.

Total Posts: The total number of vacant Assistant Professor posts are 1,242 in 26 subjects.

Pay Scale: As per the UGC Pay Scale–Rs-  57700-182400

Key Dates:

Last Date to enter application details online after extension – 20 November 2021 upto 11.59 PM

Last date to pay fees in the computerized Post Offices-  30 November 2021 during office hours

Competitive Examination is likely to be conducted during 03rd or 4th week of December 2021.

Dates for Downloading of Admission Tickets – will be notified later.

Eligibility in Brief:

Minimum 55% marks (or Equivalent Grade) in post-graduation  Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

 A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PwD (Persons with Disability).

A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the PhD degree holders, who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
