New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna CPSE is hiring Management Trainees (Technical) in E-1 grade in various engineering disciplines. The recruitment is based on GATE 2018. The six engineering disciplines are as followed: Mechanical (ME), Metallurgy (MT), Electrical (EE), Instrumentation (IN), Chemical (CH) and Mining (MN).
Key Dates: Starting date for submitting applications for SAIL through website 01 February 2018. Closing date for submitting applications for SAIL through website 21 February 2018.
Eligibility:
Upper Age: 28 years as on 1.02.2018 i.e not born earlier than 01.02.1990.
Minimum Qualification: Degree in Engineering (full time) with 65% marks (average of all semesters in all years), in six Engineering disciplines of Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical and Mining. The requisite qualification should have been acquired through a regular/ full time course from Universities / Institutions recognized/ accredited by councils/ bodies like UGC/ AICTE etc. set up by Central / State Govt. for the purpose.
Qualification: The SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates having Engineering Degree in the required disciplines with 55% marks (average of all semesters) shall be eligible to apply. The OBC candidates who belong to ‘Creamy layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (non-creamy layer) candidate sare required to submit the requisite certificate issued in the current financial year by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as applicable for employment under Central Govt. at the time of Interview.
Note: Only departmental candidates having acquired qualifying degree through correspondence/part time courses from Universities/ Institutions recognized/ accredited by councils/ bodies likeUGC/ AICTE etc. set up by Central / State Government for the purpose and who are eligible to sit for relevant GATE paper can apply for SAIL MT(T). The term departmental candidates means those candidates who are currently working with SAIL as permanent employees and not wards of SAIL employees.
Interested candidates should have appeared for the 6 papers i.e ME, MT,EE, CH, IN & MN conducted by GATE 2018 & have a valid admit card & GATE 2018 registration number.
