New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2018 (Paper-I).  The PAPER – I was conducted by the Commission from 23 September 2019 to 27 September 2019 in various centres all over the country. A total number of 3,77,133 candidates appeared in this Examination.

The SSC has also released Cut-Offs for various categories. The Cut-Off marks for General candidates in civil engineering is 127.40 meanwhile for general candidates in electrical/mechanical engineering is 152.16.

In civil engineering , a total number of 8,681 candidates have been qualified for appearing Paper-II. In electrical/mechanical engineering, a total number of 1,919 candidates have been qualified for appearing Paper-II exam. In total, out of nearly 3.8 lakh candidates appeared Paper-I, 10,600 candidates have qualified for appearing Paper II.

As the Paper-I Computer Based Examination of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract), 2018 was conducted in multiple shifts, marks scored by the candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website on 07.02.2019. Such normalized marks have been used to qualify the candidates for the next stage of Examination (i.e. Paper-II).

The Descriptive Paper (Paper-II) of Junior Engineers Examination 2018 will be conducted on 29 December 2019. The status of city of examination and Admission Certificates of the qualified candidates will be uploaded on the websites of the respective Regional Offices before the conduct of the Paper-II Examination. However, the candidates who are unable to download their Admission Certificates may contact the concerned Regional Offices immediately. The responsibility for timely download of the Admission Certificates lies solely with the candidates.

The commission has informed that the category of the candidates has been indicated along with their Roll Numbers. If any candidate finds a mismatch between his/her Name, Roll Number and Category, as mentioned in his/her Application Form, he/she must bring it to the notice of the respective Regional Office of the Commission immediately.

The commission said in a statement that Final Answer Keys along with the Question Paper(s) in a standard format has been uploaded on the website of the Commission for a period of only one month from 12 December 2019 to 11 January 2020.

Marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates in a standard format will be uploaded shortly on the Commission’s website – http://ssc.nic.in.
