Essential Qualifications, Experience and Research Parameters for the Academic Units
| ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Minimum Basic: 45500*, AGP: 10000 |
PhD with First class in the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout. 6 years of teaching experience of which 5 years Post-PhD experience and at least 5 years as Assistant Professor. OR 6 years of teaching experience of which 4 years Post-PhD experience and at least 5 years as Assistant Professor + 2 extra SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications. At least 10 publications of which 5 are in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals OR TIF of 8. If one publication short, compensate with additional +2 TIF. If one TIF short, compensate with +2 publications. Minimum 4 SCI/SCIE/SSCI journal publications. Further, patents can compensate for number of publications. At least 1 student registered for PhD guidance. Demonstrated capability of attracting Sponsored R&D Projects /Consultancies / MDP / CEP as PI/Co-PI. Total Project Value of Rs. 5 lakhs. If no projects, then compensate with 3 additional SCI/SCIE/SSCI publication. |
