As on 16 April 2023, there are Two Central Universities have announced PhD for 2022-23 Academic Year. The total number of vacant PhD Seats are expected to be more than 300 seats.

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University Lucknow Announces PhD Admission 2023 for 219 Seats
Lucknow, 16 April 2023: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), a Central University,has announced PhD Admission for 2022-23 Summer Session. The total number of vacant seats are 219.
Key Dates:
The closing date for submission of application is 11 May 2023.
The closing date for submission of application fee is 13 May 2023.
For taking the Ph.D. entrance test, it is necessary that the candidates must have passed the PG degree course in the relevant subject/allied
subject as listed at Annexure II from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission with 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
grade ‘B’ in UGC 7-point scale (5% relaxation or equivalent grade shall be provided to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/PwD)
Tezpur University Opens Admission 2023-24 for PhD, MTech, PG programs: PhD in 27 Subjects
Tezpur, 27 March 2023: Tezpur University, a Central University in Assam, has announced Admission to BTech (Lateral entry), PG, MTech and PhD Programmes for the academic year 2023-24.
Tezpur University, Tezpur, Assam will hold the Tezpur University Entrance Examinations (TUEE) for admission into various Ph.D, Post Graduate (PG) and B.Tech. (lateral entry) programmes for the academic session 2023-24. The admission portal will be live on 24 March, 2023.
For TUEE, the University will set up twenty-three (23) numbers of examination centres across all major cities in India, including the Northeast Region, where OMR based / OMRcum- descriptive type examinations will be conducted for intending applicants.
Tezpur University offers a wide range of PhD, Postgraduate (PG) and PG Diploma programmes across various disciplines under the schools of Engineering, Sciences, Management and Humanities and Social Sciences.
PhD Admission for 2023-24: PhD Admission is available in 27 Subjects/ Departments.
