Visakhapatnam: Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh, will conduct Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2020 on 06 December 2020 (Sunday).  The test will be conducted in 30 subjects.

Key Dates: The online application portal will open for registration from 14 August 2020.The online application portal without late fee will closeon19 September 2020.

With a Late fee of Rs. 1,000+Registration Fee:    29 September 2020

With a Late fee of Rs. 2,000+Registration Fee:    9 October 2020

With a Late fee of Rs. 5,000+Registration Fee (Examination centre at Visakhapatnam only):          30 October 2020.

Eligibility: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC  are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes (BC) /Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Transgender/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test.

The qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state from where they have cleared their SET.

Medium of Question Paper

The question paper – I which is common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu).

Paper – II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) Political Science f) Public Administration and g) Sociology will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only except Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu and Urdu.
