Pilani, 07 November 2022: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has announced Admission to full and part time PhD programmes for II Semester, Academic Year 2022-23 in its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Both Full Time and Part Time PhD Admission available.
Financial Assistance is available to Full Time PhD Scholars @ Rs 28,000 to Rs 31,000 Per Month.
Full-time Students: Preferably individuals who would like to pursue PhD in-house, residing on campus.
Part-time Students: Preferably individuals working in organizations providing basic facilities and environment for research.

Minimum eligibility criteria for admissions:
ME/MTech/MPharm/MBA/MPhil or an equivalent Degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination
MSc/BE/BPharm or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination
For admissions to Humanities and Social Sciences, candidates with an MA degree and a minimum of 55% aggregate may apply.
Departments may set specific admission criteria for shortlisting. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an admission test, which may comprise of a written exam and/or interview. Candidates admitted with qualifications like M.Sc., B.E., B.Pharm. etc., will be required to do course work on admission to the programme.
Financial Support: Full-time PhD students admitted into the PhD programme are eligible to be considered for an Institute fellowship of Rs 28,000 or Rs 31,000 per month in the first year based on their qualifications at the time of admission.
