Shimla, 03 July 2025: Central University of Himachal Pradesh has announced PhD Admission Entrance Test 2025-26. The total n umber of vacant seats are 167.
The candidate must have Passed with 55% marks in PG examination in the concerned subject. (For SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/Divyang candidates there will be relaxation of 5% marks).
Eligible applicants shall have to qualify Entrance test which will be conducted by the University. The syllabus for the Entrance test shall be 50% research methodology and 50% subject specific.
Minimum Eligibility:
To be eligible, the applicant must have qualified any of the following:
(i) UGC- JRF
(ii) UGC-NET
(iii) UGC-NET (Qualified for Admission to PhD only)
(iv) UGC-CSIR -JRF
(v) UGC-CSIR NET
(vi) ICAR- JRF/SRF
(vii) ICMR-JRF
(viii) DBT-JRF
(ix) SLET
(x) Teacher Fellowship Holder
(xi) M.Phil
(xii) Himachal Pradesh KendriyaVishwavidyalayaShodhPatrataPariksha (HPKVSPP)
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have Passed with 55% marks (before date of notification) in PG examination in the concerned subject. (For SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/Divyang candidates there will be relaxation of 5% marks).
The candidate who has qualified any one of following tests shallbe eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. Programmes of Central University of Himachal Pradesh and need not to appear in and qualify the Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Shodh Patrata Pariksha.
