New Delhi, 15 January 2021: Considering there has been delays in the registration processes for PhD as many Institute are yet to function full fledge due to COVID-19 situation in the country, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has extended the validity period of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
In a notification CSIR mentioned that it has been decided that the validity period of CSIR Junior Research Fellowship of qualified candidates of CSIR-UGC NET December 2017 and June 2018 is extended upto June 2021. The other terms and conditions of fellowship will remain the same.
CSIR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): A large number of JRFs are awarded each year by CSIR to candidates holdingĀ BS-4 years program/BE/BTech/B Pharma/MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or Equivalent degree/BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holdersĀ or students enrolled in integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General & OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates) after qualifying the National Eligibility Test ( NET) conducted by CSIR twice a year June and December.
