Bangalore, 20 November 2020: Indian Institute of Bangalore (IISc), Bangalore, India’s top ranked research university, has announced Mid -Year Admissions 2020 for Research (PhD) Programmes and PhD – External Registration Programme (ERP). Scholarships or Fellowships are available as per the Institute norms.
Key Dates & Application Fees: The website has opened for online submission of applications from 09 November 2020. The closing date for online submission of applications (website closes – 23:59 hours of 06 December 2020) – 06 December 2020.

Eligibility: Applicants possessing a minimum of second class or equivalent in the following degrees as applicable to the individual departments/areas are eligible to apply:

The minimum class prescribed in the qualifying examination is relaxed to a “Pass Class” for SC/ST candidates.
Selection procedure: Candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in the National Entrance Test and/or academic performance. The selection is based on the performance in the interview (in some of the departments, an aptitude test/preliminary interview will precede the interview/final interview).
Note: Candidates called for the interview held in June 2020 in any one of the departments mentioned above are also eligible to apply again. And the cut-off remains the same as fixed for August 2020 admissions.
