New Delhi, 08 September 2022: In India there are more than 50 Central Universities and 32 National Institutes of Technology.
As on 09 September 2022, there are four Central Universities have announced PhD for 2022. The total number of vacant PhD seats are expected to be more than 1014 seats.

University of Hyderabad Announces PhD Admission 2022-23 for 281 Seats
Hyderabad, 08 September 2022: University of Hyderabad (UoH), a central university, has announced Admissions to various courses for 2022-23.
Admission to all the PhD Programs will be done based on the performance in the Written Test and Interview. JRF qualified candidates will be exempted from writing the Entrance examination.
Total vacant Seats: The total number of vacant PhD seats for 2022-23 session are 281 in 12 subjects.

Central University of South Bihar Announces PhD Admission 2022 for 238 Seats
Gaya, 08 September 2022: Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has announced PhD Admission (Full Time & Part Time) for the academic year 2022-23.
Total PhD Seats: The total number of vacant PhD seats are 238 across 26 subjects.
The PhD Admission notification informed that the direct PhD Admission is based on JRF/NET category.
Eligibility in Brief: A candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF), NET-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC/Central Government or State Government.

Himachal Pradesh, 04 September 2022: Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), a Central University, has released PhD Admission Notification for Academic Year 2022-23. The university will conduct Entrance Test: Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Shodh Patrata Pariksha (HPKVSPP-2022).

New Delhi, 26 August 2022: Jawaharlal Nehru University, India’s top ranked university, has released the prospectus for PhD Admission and Diploma in Proficiency for academic year 2022-23.
The candidates seeking admission into Ph.D. programmes have to appear in the CBT (Computer Based Test).
JRF qualified candidates shall be exempted from Computer Based Test (CBT). They are required to apply separately under JRF category. Such candidates shall be shortlisted and called directly for viva-voce.
GATE qualified candidates for the admission in the school of Engineering shall be exempted from Computer Based Test (CBT). They are required to apply separately under GATE category. Such candidates shall be shortlisted and called directly for viva-voce.
The application portal for JRF qualified and GATE qualified category candidates is open now.
The application portal for Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) 2022-23 will open very soon, as the notification from JNU.
