New Delhi, 13 April 2024: In India there are more than 50 Central Universities, which are controlled by Govt of India.
As on 13 March 2024, there are Four Central Universities have announced PhD for 2024-25 Academic Year. The total vacant PhD seats are expected to be around 1,000 Seats.

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur- 320 Seats – 23 April 2024

Central University of Rajasthan Opens PhD Admission 2024 for 196 Seats
Ajmer, 13 April 2024: Central University Of Rajasthan, has announced PhD Admission for 2024-25 academic years. Admission in PhD programme 2024-25 in CURAJ will be based on the Category-1 and Category-2 as per the UGC public notice.
Category-1: The candidates who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship in any national level examinations like CSIR-UGC-JRF/ICMR-JRF/, ICAR-JRF, and DBT-JRF etc.
Category-2: The candidates who have qualified any national level examinations like CSIR-UGCNET, GATE/GPAT (for engineering/architecture/pharmacy streams), etc. and similar National level tests, sponsored candidates, teacher fellowship holders and teachers of Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ). The candidates under this category must have the National level qualified examination certificate issued on or after dated May 01, 2023.
Bilaspur, 08 April 2024: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24 Through Direct Mode under VRET- Exempted Category.
Any eligible candidate possessing NET JRF/GATE etc. / working professionals/staff/international students may apply under VRET Exempted category for direct interview.
Total Vacant Seats: The total number of vacant seats are 320 in 28 departments.

Central University of Jharkhand Announces PhD Admission 2024 for 174 Seats
Ranchi, 24 March 2024: Central University of Jharkhand has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24.
Total Vacant Seats: The total number of vacant seats are 113 in 19 departments.

Tezpur University Announces PhD Admission 2024-25 for 30 Departments
Tezpur, 03 April 2024: Tezpur University, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for Academic Year 2024-25. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Tezpur University Entrance Examination [on (TUEE) 2024 followed by Personal Interview (PI).
Candidates qualified in the UGC NET-JRF/ UGC-CSIR NET-JRF, UGC/CSIR NET (LS)/ SLET (LS), GATE and M.Phil degree holders need not appear in the written test; however, such candidates shall appear in the personal interview.
