Bangalore, 22 August 2023: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 will be conducted for 30 papers, across many branches of Engineering, Sciences, Architecture and Humanities.  GATE 2024 has introduced a paper in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

GATE 2024 dates announced: February 3, 4, 10, & 11 of 2024.

The Application portal for GATE 2024 is expected to open by 24 August 2023.

GATE 2024 will be conducted only in centres within India. It will not be conducted in centres outside India. Foreign nationals and Indian citizens residing abroad may appear for GATE 2024 but they must choose examination cities within India. They must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation to appear for the exam at an assigned centre within India.

Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level examination that assesses candidates for comprehensive understanding in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities for admission to various Master’s and Doctoral Programs and Recruitment by some Public Sector Undertakings.

ADMISSION:

Valid GATE score can be used for seeking admission to:

(i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities; and

(ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities,

in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Qualifying GATE score can be used for seeking financial assistance towards:

(i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities; and

(ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities,

in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies.

Financial Assistance given to M.Tech students is Rs. 12,400 per month and generally paid for 22 months.
