Bangalore, 07 March 2024:  Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India’s Top Ranked Research -(2) 1-Year Master of Engineering (M. Engg.) and (3) Joint M. Tech programme with Taiwanese Universities for Acad. Year 2024-25 onwards. x

MTech Programme through CFTI Mode of Entry: Graduates of any course with a minimum duration of Four years, from any Centrally Funded Technical Institution with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 out of 10 or its equivalent as applicable to individual departments/ disciplines are eligible to apply for this programme under CFTI Mode of Entry without qualifying in GATE.

Departments/Disciplines:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-09 Seats

Computational & Data Sciences (CDS) -06 Seats

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) -05 Seats

Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE) -06 Seats

Electronic Product Design (EPD)- 02 Seats

Mechanical Engineering (ME)- 03 Seats

Semiconductor Technology (SemT) -02 Seats

Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) -04 Seats

Total Seats: 37 Seats  

Candidates can apply to a maximum of 3 disciplines from the MTech. programmes. 

Key Dates:

Website opens for online submission of applications- 20 March 2024

Last date for online submission of applications (website) – 29 April 2024

Selection Procedure: The selection to the M. Tech programme will be based on Career Analysis Marks (CAM- 70% Weightage) and performance in the interview (30%).

Applicants possessing the educational qualification including those in the final semester/year of their qualifying examinations but expect to complete all the requirements for award of the degree (like examinations, project dissertation, viva-voce, etc.) by 31st July 2024, and can furnish the necessary certificates on or before 31st October 2024 are eligible to apply.
