Bilaspur, 24 February 2023: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, a Central University Chhattisgarh, invites online applications for admission to PhD Programmes – Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test (VRET).
Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test (VRET) will be conducted in 30 subjects for PhD programmes.
PhD Admission will take place under two categories: Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test (VRET) and VRET Exempted Category.
Total Number PhD Seats: The total number of PhD seats are 696: VRET – 290 Seats ; VRET Exempted Category-406 Seats.
VRET Exempted: (For UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/ Teacher Fellowship holder/GPAT/JEST/RGNF/DST-Inspire or any other category as notified by the UGC from time to time).

1 Start of Online Application Process : 21 February 2023 (04.00PM)
- Closing date of Online submission of Application forms : 23 February 2023
- Online Entrance Proctored Test Dates (VET+VRET) : 08 April 2023 (11 AM)
- Declaration of results : 08 April 2023 (11 AM)
Application Processing Fee: Applicant desirous of appearing in Online VRET or VRET (Exempted Category) shall pay the Fee of Rs.1500/- in case of General/OBC/EWS and Rs.750/- in case of SC/ST/PWD Category and shall be paid through online mode only.
