Srinagar (Garhwal), 08 March 2023: Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, a Central University in Uttarakhand, has announced PhD Entrance Test 2022-23.
Total Number of Vacant Seats: The total number of vacant PhD Seats are 359:
PhD Entrance Test 2022-23 (Roster for University Campuses)- 181 Seats
PhD Entrance Test 2022-23 (Roster for Affiliated Colleges) – 68 Seats
PhD Program for University Campuses (2022-23) Under JRF/Teacher Fellow -110 Seats
The University shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Exam and interview/viva-voce jointly. However, the following categories of the applicants shall be exempted from the Entrance Exam, but they have to apply online on the prescribed form till the due date along with fee.
- Regularly appointed teachers of this University.
- Teacher Fellow (Under UGC Scheme)
- NET-JRF/NET/SLET (Uttarakhand)/GATE qualified candidates
- Phil., candidates of HNB Garhwal University in the concerned subject.

Last date for applying is 25 March 2023 (11:50 PM).
The Entrance Test will be held on 08 April 2023 (Saturday).
