New Delhi, 25 January 2018: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), a Mega University with highest student enrolment in the world, has notified admission notification for PhD/MPhil programmes (Regular Mode) July 2018 session. For the upcoming session, PhD programmes are available in 26 subjects and MPhil courses are available in ten subjects.
Key Dates: The closing date for submission of online application is 16 February 2018. The Entrance Test will be held on 04 March 2018 (Sunday). The results will be declared on 6 April 2018 (Friday).
Total Number of Seats: For July 2018 session, IGNOU has a total number of seats 325 under PhD programmes. For MPhil programmes, the total number seats are 16.
Eligibility for PhD: 1.(a) The candidate must have master’s degree of any recognized University. The minimum eligibility criteria is 55% marks at Post Graduation level [50% in case of reserved categories {SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy) and PWD}]. (b) Also for detailed discipline specific eligibility criteria, candidate should refer the Information Brochure IGNOU research degree programmes.
