Guwahati, 25 June 2022: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati, an Institute of National Importance, has announced Admission for PhD Programmes August 2022-23.
PhD Offered in the following subjects: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) and Mathematics.
An Institute Fellowship for a full-time PhD student will provide Rs. 20,000/per month for the first two years, and then it will be increased to Rs. 25,000/per month till completion of the fourth year.

Date of selection in online mode for all disciplines is 29 July 2022 (Friday).
Eligibility Conditions:
For admission to the PhD Programme in various disciplines a candidate must satisfy the following criteria:
CSE and ECE
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
OR
Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 or 65% of marks.
Mathematics
MA/MSc/MTech in Mathematics with at least 60% marks or a CPI of 6.5
HSS
Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or a CPI of 6.0
Candidates with MPhil degree/ NET-JRF will be given preference.
For candidates with a B.Tech/MA/MSc, preference will be given to those who have cleared GATE/NET/JRF.
