Gandhinagar, 02 July 2021: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara, an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of HRD, has released PhD Admission notification for Autumn 2021 -22. Teaching/Research Assistantship benefits are available for research scholars.
Amid COVID 19, both Examination and Interview will held online.
PhD Research Areas:
Computer Science & Engineering: Cryptography, Distributed Systems , Information Security , Software Engineering , Internet Things , Artificial Intelligence
Electronics & Communication Engineering : Wireless Communication , Wireless Sensor Networks , Signal Processing For Communication
Physics : Quantum Field Theory
Key Date & Application Fee: The closing date for submission of application is 10 August 2021.
Date of Online Examination: 17 Aug 2021 (11.00 AM – 1.00 PM)
Date of Result announcement of Online Examination: 18 Aug 2021
Dates of Online Interview: 20-21 Aug 2021
Financial Assistance: INR 31000/- at the time of Admission to PhD programme is given for Teaching Assistance ship. The same will be increased to INR 35000/- after passing of comprehensive exams but not earlier than 2 years.
Eligibility Conditions:
A candidate should have consistently good academic records.
Engineering
First class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas, OR
First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, OR
Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
Physics
First class in M.Sc. (Physics) and related areas.
NOTE: The candidates appearing for the final semester/year examinations of the qualifying degree in 2021 may also apply to the respective programs. The admission is subject to the condition that, if admitted, they should submit a provisional degree certificate or any other proof of completion of requirements for the award of the degree by 30 September 2021.
