Gandhinagar: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara, an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of HRD, has extended the closing date for submission of application for PhD Programme Admission – Autumn 2018-2019 to 05 July 2018. Teaching/Research Assistantship benefits are available for research scholars.
Applications are invited for admission to PhD Programme (Autumn 2018-2019) in the following specialization areas:
Wireless Communications, IoT, Soft Computing applications with Deep Learning
Computer vision, Remote sensing image analysis
Signal processing , coding theory
Information security, Block chain technology
Algebra; Statistics
VLSI designs and embedded system
Key Date & Application Fee: The closing date for submission of application is extended to 05 July 2018. Written Examination and Interview is 9th & 10th July 2018. Application fee is Rs 500 /-.
Eligibility: A candidate should have consistently good academic records.
Engineering
First class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas, OR First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, OR Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
Sciences
M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science and related area, OR
M.Tech. Material Science/Nano-Technology/Applied Optics/Engineering Physics/Scientific Computing, OR Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. In relevant areas may also be considered.
Modes of Financial Assistantship: Teaching/Research Assistantship of INR 20,000 (per month) upgraded to INR 25,000 (per month) after clearing the comprehensive examination.
Students with CSIR JRF qualified may avail the scholarship.
At present, IIIT Vadodara is operating from its temporary premises at Government Engineering College (Gandhinagar) till the time its new campus is made operational at Vadodara, Gujarat.
