Bangalore, 21 January 2024:  Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore,  India’s premier BSchools and an Institute of National Importance,  has already opened application portal for PhD Admission 2024. PhD Admission is available in 10 subjects related to Management, Economics and Entrepreneurship.

There is no tuition fee for PhD students. Additionally, Doctoral research scholars will receive a stipend of Rs 42,000 per month for up to five years to cover their living expenses. Doctoral students are also eligible for start-up (Rs 75,000 in year 1) and contingency grants (Rs 25,000 per year in Years 2 to 5) that could be used for books, stationery, computers, and other resources to support their doctoral programme work.

Eligibility Conditions:

Candidates that apply for admission should have either:

1. a) A Master’s degree (obtained after completing bachelor’s degree)1 or,
2. b) A five-year Integrated Master’s degree (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline1 or,
3. c) A Post Graduate Diploma (2 years)1
4. d) A Professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, CS2 or,
5. e) A four-year or eight-semesters Bachelor’s degree3

Test Scores:

Candidates require a valid test score, from any one of the acceptable tests to the area(s) of specialization they are applying to, as shown in the following table.
