Tirupati, 07 April 2022: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati invites applications from prospective candidates for admission to the PhD and Integrated PhD (I-PhD)programme, August 2022. In this round, the research areas are as followed: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Earth and Climate Sciences and associated interdisciplinary areas of research.
In addition to research, the programme involves coursework and teaching assistantship.

Joining in PhD Programme: 1 August 2022 (Tentative)
Selection Procedure:
The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and the final selection is based on interview performance.
Fellowship:
Upon selection and subsequently joining the PhD program, candidates who do not possess any CSIR, DBT and INSPIRE, will be eligible for institute fellowship at par with CSIR, DBT etc., but without HRA and Contingency components.
Overview of the I-PhD program:
The Integrated PhD (I-PhD) program at IISER Tirupati is for highly motivated students, who wish to pursue a career in research. Students with an excellent academic record can apply for the I-PhD program upon completion of Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science. The course combines curricula for Master’s and Doctorate degrees into a single integrated program with a blend of course work and research project.
The I-PhD program is offered in the disciplines of Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences for the August 2021 session.
