Dhanbad, 12 October 2022: Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad [IIT(ISM)], previously known as ISM Dhanbad, has released official notification for – PhD Admission 2022-23. The PhD research areas are available in 21 disciplines.
All candidates seeking admission to the PhD program (full-time, external, sponsored, or part-time PhD) to the institute must apply online through the admission portal of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
The Institute may provide full-time PhD students who have qualified GATE or any other eligible national level examination, financial assistance in the form of teaching or research assistantships.
IIT Graduates (CGPA of 8.0 or above):
IIT graduates (Masters and/or Bachelor’s degree holders) having a CGPA/OGPA of 8.0 or above are also eligible for Ph.D. admission at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. For Masters and/or Bachelor’s degree holders from IITs having a CGPA of 8.0 or above, the requirement of GATE/NET is waived off.
