Kharagpur, 21 October 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur introduces 4yr BS programme From JEE Advanced 2021 batch onwards, IIT Kharagpur has introduced 4yr BS programme in place of the existing 5 Yr Integrated MSc programme.
Science departments and HSS Department of IIT Kharagpur started 4 yr BS programme from the JEE Advanced 2021 batch. Those who would like to earn MS degree would be given an option to do so at the end of 6th Semester of the 4-yr BS programme. Accordingly, 7th and 8th semesters would be planned so that a candidate gets MS degree at the end of 10th semester.
The BS programme will be offered in the following courses
- Applied Geology
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Exploration Geophysics
- Mathematics and Computing
- Physics
