Ropar, 22 March 2022: Indian Institute Technology (IIT) Ropar, an Institute of National Importance, has announced Admission for MTech programmes for 2022-23.

Total Vacant Seats: The total number of vacant MTech seats are179 in 12 Specilizations.  

Selection will be based on the GATE performance for the year 2020/2021/2022.The candidates are required to register on “Common Offer and Acceptance Portal” (COAP) 2022 (https://coap.iitb.ac.in/) before applying online to the Institute. You are required to look at COAP Website for all round of the offers.

Key Dates: The Last Date for Submission of Application is 16 April 2022.The candidate is required to pay application fees of Rs.500/- for GEN/OBC/EWS category and Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD.

 Financial Assistance:  GATE fellowship at the rate of Rs. 12400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M.Tech. Programmes, subject to Institute rules. They are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects etc.

The 1st semester of AY 2020-21 for the newly admitted students will start through Online Mode for MTech & MSc 2020 batch. The classes start on 10th Sept. 2020 and lectures to be over by Dec 10th, 2020.
