New Delhi: Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the national body overseeing research in the social sciences in India, has invited applications (i) Doctoral Fellowships; (ii) Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDF); and (iii) Senior Fellowships (SF) for the year 2018-19 from Indian scholars. The proposals should be in the field of social science disciplines or may be interdisciplinary in nature.
The last date for online submission of applications is 14 August 2018 and hard copy of the same should reach ICSSR latest by 21 August 2018.
Doctoral Fellowships: Doctoral Fellowships are open to doctoral students, preferably below the age of 40 years, who have a Master’s degree from a recognized university with a first or second class and are registered for a doctoral degree in social sciences.
Post Doctoral Fellowships: Post-Doctoral Fellowships are awarded to scholars, below the age of 45years, who have shown significant competence in research work, have completed their Ph.D. at the time of their application and desire to work on approved research themes at institutions of excellence under the guidance of senior social scientists.
After submitting online application, a hard copy of the application, duly signed and stamped by the affiliating institution along with all enclosures, must be sent to the concerned programme In-charge before the last date.

ICSSR informed that the scholars who have applied prior to this advertisement, are required to submit their application afresh online in accordance with existing guidelines.
