PhD Programmes are available on the following types:
- Regular with Institute Assistantship
- Individual Fellowship (CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICAR/INSPIRE etc.)
- PhD through Project
- Sponsored candidates (IAR) in Engineering and Sciences
PhD programme for working professionals of PSUs, Govt. Organization, National Lab, Industries etc.

Fellowships: The Institute Research Assistantship shall be awarded for a maximum period of 5 years. At present the amounts are as follows:
a)Rs. 31,000/- pm for first 2 years
b)Rs. 35,000/- pm for next 3 years
c)Contingencies amount: Rs. 30,000/- Per annum
