Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. (Full Time & Part Time):
UGC (Minimum Standards & Procedure for the award of M.Phil./PhD Degrees) regulations July 2016
Applicants fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria will be required to take Indus University Research Aptitude Test (IURAT) and appear for a personal interview (PI).
Admission Procedure: The Research Aptitude Test will comprise of two sections, one section on Research Methodology & Communication Skills and the other in the respective domain. The test paper will have computer based multiple-choice type questions. Duration of the test will be of one hour thirty minutes.
During the Personal Interview(PI), the candidate will be required to make a presentation for about 10 to 15 minutes on the main theme of the proposed research, which will be followed by an interview by the panel. The Doctoral Research Committee (DRC) will test the potential of the applicant for carrying out research
Based on the academic / research / industrial record and the performance of the applicant in IURAT & PI, the DRC will recommend names of suitable candidates to the Executive President (Vice Chancellor) through Apex Research Committee (ARC)/Dean
Candidates who have qualified UGC/NET/ CSIR/ and M.Phil. will be exempted from the entrance.
Research assistantships, limited in number, may be available to full time research scholars, based on recommendation of ARC /
