Mumbai, 07 February 2021: International Institute For Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, a Deemed University, has released Admission Notification for the Academic Year 2021-2022. Fellowships Benefits are available in all courses.

Programmes:

  • MA/MSc in Population Studies
  • MSc in Bio-Statistics and Demography
  • Masters in Population Studies (MPS)
  • PhD in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography
  • Part-time Ph.D Programme in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography
  • Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme

Key Dates:  The online admission portal will be active from 08 February  2021 to 18 March  2021.

The Institute informed that the admission test shall be conducted online at different designated centers in India. The detailed Admission Bulletin for each course will be uploaded on the Institute’s website.

Fellowships Benefits: Rs. 5,000/-  Per Month for Master Degree courses. Rs. 6,000/-  Per Month for M.Phil. courses. Rs. 50,000/- Per Month for Post Doctoral Fellowships.

PhD Scholarship: Government of India Fellowships @ Rs. 25,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 28,000/- per month for 3rd and 4th years available for the Indian students who have qualified NET for Lectureship in Population Studies or its inter-disciplinary subjects conducted by the UGC. Such Ph.D. fellowship also carries a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year for the first two years and Rs. 20,500/- for the third year. However the candidates, without NET qualification shall be awarded fellowship @ Rs.12,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years, and Rs.14,000/- per month for the 3rd and 4th years, with a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year. In addition, UGC-JRF and other fellowship holders will also be considered for admission as per availability of seats.
