Applicants can aspire for the following, under the various categories:

o Minimum 3.5 years from date of admission, Maximum 6 years
- Admission Process
o Admission Schedule: Twice a year (July and January)
o Candidates must appear for All India online PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE
Manipal
- Candidates who qualified UGC-NET exam or GATE /GPAT Exam with Cutoff marks applicable for
the general category for the academic year 2022, 2023, 2024 are exempted from Ph.D. Manipal
Entrance Test
o Shortlisted candidates who qualify through PhD MET, will be subjected to an institute / department level
interview.
o Candidates shortlisted through the interview process will be eligible for grant-in-aid instituted by MAHE

o Candidates who fulfil the Eligibility Criteria are eligible to apply for Full-Time PhD program (with
scholarships) under this category.
Indian Qualifications
60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent in master degree
A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme OR
A 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme
OR
Equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution recognized by the Regulatory body in that country
75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade
4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body
60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade
MBBS/BDS/PharmD degree from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body
