Tirunelveli, 14 March 2021: Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, a State University in Tamil Nadu, has announced PhD Admission for January 2021.
Bharat Ratna Dr.M.G. Ramachandran Centenary Research Fellowship is available to the Meritorious scholars who enroll for PhD full time in the University Departments. There are 29 Departments where PhD Admission is available.
Qualifying Entrance Examination is mandatory for registration to MPhil, & PhD Programme. Qualifying Entrance Examination will be conducted through Online.
Candidates with NET/SET/JRF/GATE qualifications are exempted from Ph.D. Qualifying Entrance Examination.

Date of Qualifying Entrance Examination (through Online) : 08 April 2021 & 09 April 2021
Eligibility Conditions: Candidates who have passed Master’s Degree through Open University system are not eligible, Candidates who have secured their Master’s Degree and M.Phil. with 55% or its equivalent grade of marks (relaxation of 5% of marks to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/differently abled under (11+1)/(10+2)+3+2 and10+ 3+2+2 pattern of courses of study shall be eligible for Ph.D. programme.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be admitted for PhD programme through a common entrance test for each discipline, followed by an interview.
Date of Interview will be intimated only to the candidates who have passed in the written Examination.
Entrance Examination will be conducted in the subjects of Master Degree obtained by the candidate.
