Neemrana Rajasthan, 08 December 2020: NIIT University, a private university in Neemrana, Rajasthan, has released PhD Admission Notification for January 2021.
Research Areas: Biotechnology, Computer Science & Engineering, Educational Technology, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Geospatial Information Systems, Humanities & Social Sciences, Mathematics and Basics Sciences, and Management.
Entrance Test for all eligible will be held online amid COVID 19 pandemic. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET and/or GATE etc. will be exempted from the Entrance Test of the University. However, all such candidates will have to face an interview to be conducted by the faculty of the research discipline of the University.
Scholarships: All registered regular full time students would be provided scholarship of up-to Rs 30,000 per month. PhD Scholars shall be required to assist in the teaching/research activities. All registered full-time residential students would be provided financial assistance for maximum five years depending on the satisfactory report from the doctoral committee.
Financial assistance of Rs. 30,000/- per month during the course work and till the date of approval of research proposal to the candidates who have the MTech degree.
Financial assistance of Rs. 20,000/ (per month) will be paid during the course work and till the date of approval of research proposal to the candidates who do not have the MTech degree.
Financial assistance of Rs. 35,000/- (per month) thereafter till completion of three years from the date of 1st registration. Financial assistance of Rs. 40,000/- (per month) for the remaining period of PhD not exceeding five years from the date of 1st registration. The enhancement will be based on the performance, paper publication and recommendation of doctoral committee and approval of University level research committee.

*Shortlisted candidates who have qualified in written examination and the candidates who have valid score in GRE/GMAT/GATE/ JMET/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ATMA/UGC or CSIR/NET/JRF or an equivalent examination.
The minimum educational qualifications required to apply for admission to the PhD programme are as follows:
Master’s Degree or a Professional Degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution.
Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
