Calicut, 08 May 2021: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, Kerala, an Institute of National Importance, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD programmes July 2021.
Admission to the Ph.D. programmes will be in the following schemes:
(I) FULL-TIME (FT)
(II) PART-TIME (PT) and
(III) EXTERNAL (EX).
Candidates can apply for the full time scheme under two categories. The regular full time scheme for candidates who process ME/M.Tech degree in the appropriate branch of study as specified by the individual departments and the Direct Ph D scheme where B Tech/ B.E graduates with good academic records and research potential can apply.
Financial Assistance:
Half time Research Assistantship (HTRA) is available for a few full-time research scholars who are not receiving any financial support/ scholarship from other Agencies or State or Central Governments, subject to the availability as stipulated by Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India (GoI).

The admission to Ph.D. Programmes will be through an admission process as decided by the respective Department/School, provided the candidates satisfies the minimum eligibility criterion as detailed above.
