New Delhi, 04 August 2021: The notification for Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2020, a consortium to conduct entrance examination for Admission to various programs in 15 Central Universities, will be released soon.

Central University of Gujarat (CUG) has announced that admission of UG and PG programme will be through CUCET-2021. CUG informed on its official website that CUCET 2021 to be announced soon and eligible candidates should remain updated.

For 2021, the notification for CUCET is already delayed as Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Delhi have been announced Entrance Test and opned application portal for academic year 2021-22.

Earlier, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had plan to conduct CUCET as grand manner transforming it as a single admission test for all 50 Central Universities in India. Due tom COVID 19, the UGC deferred the grand plan to 2022-23 Academic Year.

Hence, now it is clear CUCET 2021 will be held for 15 universities that had participated in the previous year. Also there are some state universities will participate in the common examination for UG, PG, PhD and other programmes.

For 2020 CUCET national level examination, fifteen central universities, four state universities, and one NIT are joining. Applying once, student can get opportunities to choose to appear in entrance examination for any course offered by any university.
