New Delhi, 11 March 2023: National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December-2022 / June-2023 in June 2023. The application portal has opened from 10 March 2023.
The test is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam is held in five science subjects:
- Chemical Science
- Earth Science
- Life Science
- Mathematical Science
- Physical Science

Application Portal Window: 10 March 2023 to 10 April 2023 (upto 05:00 PM)
Last date for Payment of Fee – 10 April 2023
Date/s of exam – 6,7,8 June 2023
Key Points of Examination:
Mode of Exam – Computer Based Test (CBT)
Duration of the Exam – 180 minutes (03 hours)
Pattern of exam- Objective Type with MCQ
Medium of the Paper Bi-lingual – English and Hindi
The Test will consist of three parts. All the parts will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
Joint CSIR-UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility ‘for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.
